I CONQUERED THAT TURKEY AND IT WAS THE MOST DELICIOUS TURKEY I HAVE EVER HAD I THINK I EVEN BEAT MY MOM’S BECAUSE HER WOULD BE DRY BUT NOT MINE NOT TODAY
But in all seriousness, yes everyone loved it. It ended up being four of us and still a small get together but more pressure since she’s from his side of the family. BUT SHE LOVED IT. Everything I made was on point and so good. I made salmon fillets just in case I wrecked the turkey but they weren’t necessary. Not to toot my own horn, BUT IT WAS DELICIOUS. I’m so proud of myself. First Thanksgiving and a successful one I might add. Will jot down this recipe for next year.
I’m not ready
Going to be making my first dry brined roast turkey……super nervous but I’m kinda excited. Bought all my tools at Target and that kinda motivates me a bit. Still. I have to get it thawed (which is taking forever) and remove all of its insides (not looking forward to that) and brine it for 2-3 days. I still need to come up with side dishes and the salad but besides that not much else. Hope I don’t screw this up because there’s only one turkey and it’s going to be mine. 🦃🍽
who else just wants to fuck off and living in animal crossing. my neighbor is a bird. i sold three pieces of fruit and bought a sofa with the profit. caught butterflies for two straight hours. my debt exists but the debtor literally doesn’t give a single flying fuck. i wanna go drink coffee at a cafe where it’s served to me by a Gentle pigeon. everyone is happy like 99% of the time unless you whack em with a net or something idk
